What is a fiber crawl?
Our fiber crawl is modeled after many successful crawls that offer fiber enthusiasts the opportunity to visit independent yarn stores, artists’ studios, fiber centers, farms and museums to feel, touch and get inspired by beautiful, unique fiber products. During the event, at each location, you will be able to meet artists, practice a hands-on skill and learn about the rich Fiber Arts tradition of New Mexico. This fiber crawl has been sponsored and organized by the Española Valley Fiber Arts Center.
How can I participate?
Pick up a passport at a participating site, or download it here. Keep that passport with you when you visit each site. Have them place their sticker in your passport. THIS PASSPORT AND THE PARTICIPATION IN THE CRAWL IS FREE AND OPEN TO EVERYONE.
What is a passport?
A passport is a mini-booklet filled with information on participating sites,and their location, grouped into four regions that cluster activities within geographical areas. Present it at each site to be lstickered! Visit How to Crawl for more information.
Do I have to buy something to participate in the site raffle?
No purchase is required at most sites. Winners will be notified directly by the site and names will be posted on the New Mexico Fiber Crawl website and the EVFAC Facebook page. You do not have to be present to win a prize. Only out of state winners will be mailed their prize, all other winners are expected to pick up their prize at the respective site.
How will I know if I have won a site or Grand Prize raffle prize?
Each site will contact the winner of the site raffle prize directly. The names of winners will also be posted on the New Mexico Fiber Crawl website and EVFAC Facebook page. By participating in the raffles, you give permission to print your name on the NM Fiber Crawl website, EVFAC Facebook page and in all EVFAC communication.
Do I have to buy something to participate in the Grand Raffle Prize?
No. To be included in the Grand Raffle Prize, you will have to qualify for each of the categories listed on the How to Crawl page.
What about the Grand Prize Raffle?

Is a purchase necessary at any of the sites to obtain a site sticker?
No, purchase is not necessary. You just have to show your passport at each site to obtain a sticker.
How many sites do I have to visit to qualify for any of the Grand Raffle Prizes?
Visits to 5, 10 or 15 sites will entitle you to the Grand Prize Raffle. There are three prizes, one in each category. Please check the event website for more information.
What do I do when I have visited more than 15 sites?
At the each site above 15, you are eligible to enter again. Make sure you enter the current total number of sites you have visited. For example if you have visited 25 sites, EVFAC will put your name into the raffle for the grand prize for 15 and 10 sites.
When will the drawing occur?
The drawing will occur after the Fiber Crawl is over. All winners will be contacted at the contact information listed in their entry form and announced no later than June 1 on the official New Mexico Fiber Crawl website and Facebook.

Once I win, will the prize be mailed to me?

What are sites?
A site is a place you can visit on the New Mexico Fiber Crawl, they can be independent yarn stores, artists’ studios, fiber centers, farms or museums. Sites offer events which are listed on the Events page. Check it out to plan what fun event you want to attend!
What happens on Friday evening?
Each site will organize a kick-off party on Friday afternoon that will take place between 5 pm - 8 pm. Light snacks and drinks will be offered allowing artists to mingle and get to know each other. During the party you will be able to pick up your passport and have it labeled.
