The Wool Shed is a New Mexico True Certified business. I produce the NM wool, angora and mohair on site where it is hand spun, dyed, knitted or woven....from the yarns to finished goods. I also carry a line of dyes and two lines of spinning wheels and accessories.
The City of Albuquerque Open Space Visitor Center will present an exhibit of fiber arts as part of the NM Fiber Arts Crawl, taking place from May 17th through May 19th. The exhibit itself will run through July 27th.
Bethe is a production Weaver of Ralph Lauren and Heritage Blankets. Other artists knit, sew, spin, and are shephards associated with East Mountain Cast n Knits Guild. For sale with be handwoven towels, runners, mats and napkins, blankets and pillows, fiber and yarn. Demonstrations of weaving, spinning, knitting and other fiber arts, coffee and caneraderie included.
Stitchology is a fabric store that carries supplies for a variety of fiber arts including quilting, garment sewing, embroidery, sashiko, and block printing. We are pleased to present our customers with a large selection of knit, wool, linen, rayon, voile and cotton fabrics. We carry patterns made by local artist, Joyce Perz of Sashiko Southwest (www.sashikosouthwest.com) as well as felt made in Taos.
We are a retail fabric store providing a variety of materials for sewers, decorators and crafters. We carry quilting cottons, wools, silks, linens, knits, rayons, oilcloth and even cork fabric.
This is Renee's working fiber studio. She'll have art quilts, silk scarves, dolls, and hand dyed cotton yardage. Molly Mooney is Her invited guest artist. Molly is a weaver who creates ponchos, wraps, swallow, hats, purses, and home decor items.
We are in fact, the lone surviving Yarn Store in Albuquerque. Perhaps because we not only serve yarn, but wine as well.
